Now this
is one of the greatest moments to grow as most of the people are not concerned
about their progress in life. As a future professional, I am totally concerned
about my career and, I think like me many of you would be if you might have
seen my ‘About’ page, I am still an Engineering student.
I will
say first of all if you don’t have a hobby then develop one as this hobby might
be the one thing that will help you make your career more happy and successful
than you might have ever imagined. But that’s not the question is
what should be your hobbies? And if this question came into your mind then you
are on to something. Actually, this hobby is not the one you are writing every
time during ‘Essay writing’ in your grade school, like for example, My hobby is
watching TV reading books, etc. Forget all that and let’s get to the good stuff.
Top 10
Hobbies you can make during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Sorry, I
was just fooling around.
Actually,
I will tell you some good hobbies that, I have seen but it might be the case
that none of those will be suited for you.
Here is
list of hobbies, and then we will see them one by one:
1.
Web
Development
2.
Video
editing
3.
Content
Development
4.
Youtube
5.
Android
App Development
6.
Blogging
Now
let’s see
1.
Web
Development
Web development is very much a “professional” kind
of programming. Not only is it one of the easier ways to be a
freelance coder, but it also doesn't really lend itself to hobby work. If
you want to run a website, you'd probably use a framework like WordPress. Not
as many people enjoy making websites just for fun. But here, who is talking
about hobbies only for fun. Even though it’s not a very fun thing to do but it
pays well and if, I am saying well it means it pays pretty well about 35$/hr to
40$/hr, that is if you are good enough. Many of you will say ‘now you are
taking’. But others might not be interested that much in money. So, let’s
continue you might find a hobby perfectly suitable for your needs and expectations.
And, I have personally worked a lot
on Web Development and it was pretty fun for me.
But many of my friends don’t find
it interesting.
2.
Video
editing
Video editing can be your hobby, but you can make it as a profession also.
Now
days, videos are playing a vital role in sharing content. Various types of
promotions are made in the form of videos on different social media platforms.
Because people are more interested in watching videos rather than reading text and seeing static images.
Now,
whenever there is a video, editing will
come hand in hand. Because, without editing a video, it will not be engaging
for the audience.
So,
if you become a master of video editing, then definitely your future can be
bright. But at the same, I would like to say, you need to upgrade
yourself from time to time in terms of gaining new video editing skills.
You have to follow those people who are already established in this filed. In
short, I would like to say, you should not stop learning.
One
of my friend is a freelance professional video editor in Fiverr and Upwork and
achieved several video editing projects like, various promotional videos,
Shopify dropshipping videos, green screen videos, and many more. But still, he is
in the learning phase and tries to learn new things. You can also work as a
freelance video editor. And it also pays pretty well like 30$/hr to 35$/hr.
Which is not really bad at all.
3.
Content
Development
Content development is researching,
producing, and publishing information to meet a strategic goal. That goal will
either be to build a connection with an audience or to encourage some kind of
marketing or sales outcome. Content development is, therefore, a
vital part of a content marketing strategy. And this can pay
off anywhere about 8$/hr to 40$/hr based on the type of work and performance.
And content writers are in huge demand nowadays.
4.
Youtube
The beauty of a hobby is that you do it at
your leisure. Hobbies are therapeutic and stress relieving. If
you're personally fulfilled by making videos for YouTube then,
I will say it’s a perfect hobby for you as you can do whatever you like to do
in your videos. It can be pretty stressful too when you think of it as a job or
to get famous or get money out of it.
But, I will personally recommend you do it for showing
your interests and expose yourself it will build your confidence and
personality. You can show people what kind of person you really are and what
cool things can you do.
It can pay you nothing or a lot but you will have fun.
5.
Android
App Development
It
is a great choice if you want to develop android development as a hobby. If you
like coding, if you wonder what happens when I click on a button and it changes
color or shows me some wonderful animation or how does it fetch data from the
internet and shows it on the phone then definitely it is already your hobby,
Now you just a little hard work to polish this hobby.
All
it requires to learn a little bit of core java, here little java means all
basics covered like,
1. what is variable?
2. what is a class on how to make them?
3. what is the interface?
4. how to make singletons?
5. why do we use static variables and what are they?
6. what is the object?
7. how to initialize them why initialize them?
Many YouTubers teach it for free. So, learning it is free of
cost. And also Android Studio(software required to develop Android apps) is
free of cost too.
If you work good enough, you can get up
to 30$/hr to 40$/hr.
6.
Blogging
Blogging can be
described as a written version of youtube as here too you share your interests,
help others and expose yourself to build confidence and personality but if you
have fear of cameras than a blog will suit your needs perfectly of maybe you
don’t want to show yourself and don’t want any unwanted attention.
It pays very well if
you are good at this stuff, but competition is too high so you have to keep up
with what’s going on around you, be around you, I mean blogs in your
competition.
Thanks for reading my Blogs.
